High-quality construction
One of the high-end models in the R13 reed instrument family, the clarinet is built with grendadilla, which is carefully chosen for its acoustic and aesthetic qualities. Carefully polished to ensure the wood stays in its natural colour, the clarinet boasts a classic, high-quality look. The mechanics are prepared and finished with great precision with internal milling of the holes, adhering to Buffet Crampon’s specific requirements.
Carefully assembled and constructed
The tenons of the body are metal capped, that is to say protected by metal rings, in order to limit the risk of splits. Nickel silver keys (an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel) are cold-forged, copper-plated then silver-plated. The mechanics are carefully assembled and adjusted by expert technicians.
